The beautiful ring...

Moments after Match proposes!!! We drove up to the beautiful ranch property that Challenge Aspen owns on Sunday May 5th (05/06/07 for those who are into numerology!). I thought we were just going for a hike, but Match had a grander plan... in a beautiful clearing with a lone pine tree and bubbling stream, Match got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course the answer was "yes"! The snow started falling, as if on cue, as soon as he proposed to make this the most perfect, romantic proposal and certainly a memory that will be with us for a lifetime.

The beautiful engagement ring is a story unto itself... Match had his friend (and fabulously talented jeweller) Troy Clancy help him design and make the ring before he left Australia in the beginning of December. So Match has been carrying the ring around for the past 5 months, waiting for the perfect moment! This was certainly it!

Match with our new car - Jeremiah the Jeep! It's great to have wheels again and we've been exploring some of the fantastic country-side around the Roaring Fork Valley. I feel like a "soccer mom" driving around in this big gas guzzler!

Anzac Day BBQ - 25 April 2007. It's official... we are no longer vegetarians! Match was working with a ranch owner who has organic beef, so he bought half a cow to cook up on the barbie.
